Remember Pinocchio? Whenever this famous puppet tells a lie, his nose grows longer - and everyone can see that he is a liar. For example, if Pinocchio says “I went to school” when he didn’t, he is lying, and his nose grows! People sometimes tell lies, even if they know it’s not right. Sometimes it may be a “white lie”, which is a small lie used to be polite or to avoid hurting someone’s feelings. For example, saying “I like your T-shirt” even if you don’t can be a white lie. White lies may seem harmless, but it is still important to be honest.
