Australia is the biggest country Down Under. It has deserts, rainforests, and beautiful beaches. Long before European explorers arrived, Aboriginal people lived there for over 60,000 years. They have strong traditions and a deep connection to the land. In 1606, Dutch explorers were the first Europeans to see Australia, and later the British arrived. Today, people in Australia speak English, but with a fun Aussie accent! Australia is famous for kangaroos, koalas, and the Great Barrier Reef. The biggest cities are Sydney and Melbourne.
